Brian had to work all weekend, and per the usual, I was unprepared for Easter Sunday. There was no way for me to sneak away to get goodies, but once again, Grandma Jean saved the day. In the morning we went to their house where we were greeted by 2 Easter baskets that the bunny had left. Then they had fun hunting for eggs in the backyard. After that fun we went to the station to visit with Brian. The guys once again cooked an amazing meal and the kids ran around and played, then took ride on the rig. Abby sang My Favorite Things into the headset, which I am certain the guys enjoyed. Then it was back to Grandma and Grandpa's for a while. By the time we got home it was 7pm, and even though I was exhausted, the girls somehow had tons of energy (too much candy, maybe?). Since we are now on Spring Break for the week, I didn't stress about bedtime and let them stay up and watch Beauty and the Beast. Everyone was finally in bed by 10:30. If only I could be on Spring Break too! This Momma is one tired worker today.

I have officially lost my mind
While waiting for water to boil to make scalloped potatoes, I peeled potatoes to make mashed. Yes. I. did.

Here's Abby!
So here is sweet Abby. It's hard to believe she is 4 1/2 years old! She's in her second year of preschool. Last year she went T/Th and this year she started in the MWF class, but after only one week, we quickly realized she was ready for more, so we pulled her out and moved her into the "Big Room" and she goes 5 days a week. She loves it and is doing great. Like Lilly, she is one of the youngest in the class and also one of the tallest! She loves everything about school. She tested into kindergarten and at her mid-year parent/teacher conference they agreed she was ready! Even though, because of her late August birthday, she qualifies for the transitional kindergarten and so we've decided to give her a year of preppy-k! She is, as are we, super excited for next year!
She loves puppies, both real and plush. She loves to ride her bike and she loves to go to the park. She also loves to swim and recently started going under and touching the bottom of the shallow end with her hands! And this is without ever having had a swim lesson! She was discharged from her PT about 2 years ago, and wears her brace every day to school. She's going in for an OT eval soon, just to see if there is anything we need to work on before kinder. You would never know looking at her that at one point in her life she weighed only 1 pound 13 ounces, that's for sure. We are so proud of her. She just never ceases to amaze us.

Let's start with Lilly!
So, here she is! Lilly turned 3 this past December. She has grown up so much since the last time you saw her. She loves all things princesses and Little People. She still has her gorgeous red, curly hair and dark brown eyes. She weighs 39 pounds and wears a 4T. She's the youngest and the tallest kiddo in her class. She is crazy outgoing and if she sees a friend at school from across the parking lot, she'll shout "Hi So-and-so!" and jump up and down with excitement until she is acknowledged. Speaking of school, this year she goes M-W-F, and gets sad on Tuesday and Thursday when it's Abby's day and she doesn't get to go too. She's already excited that next year she will go 5 days per week. She's super sweet and sensitive. She'll throw out a "Mom, I lub you" at totally random times and it just melts my heart every time. When I asked her teacher if I should be concerned that she's not interested in pedaling a bike yet, she told me not to worry because right now she it too busy being a "social butterfly" and the interest in the bike will come in due time. She's also all about the older kids. She loves to play with her big sister and gets giddy with excitement when she gets to stay at school for "lunch bunch" with Abby and the big kids. She has a Rapunzel doll and a blankie that she cannot sleep without, and more often than not, she still climbs into our bed in the middle of the night. She's like a little one man comedy show and keep us laughing wherever we go!
